About me

I live in Wausau, Wisconsin; a quiet town with only a few crazy homeless people in the midwestern United States. I studied physics at the University of Wisconsin for two years, so the obvious next step was a career in web development.

My platform of choice is Linux. All content and code on this website was created in vi.

I try to create web pages and applications that offer a simple and easy to understand interface to the user. By layering and separating design and content, I provide a comfortable experience while keeping everything readable to users without advanced browser capabilities. I also try to comply with the most recent standards, ensuring compatibility with current and future standards-compliant browsers.

This website was designed with CSS and JavaScript, but requires neither. Try turning them off; everything should still work just fine. Please let me know if it doesn't! It's also light; this page weighs in at about 15kB (over 9kB of which is the Google Analytics tracker code.)

While I'm not doing all of this, I enjoy riding my bicycle, reading books, calling things "droll" in a manner that suggests condescendence, and other things people did for entertainment in 19th century Britain.
